Computer for every schoolchild
24. March 2022“Computer for every schoolchild” is a project, which started in 2020 spring as a citizens’ initiative in the time of the COVID19 pandemic when Estonian schools were closed and children begun to learn from distance.
The school “moved” to devices. Soon we realized that in Estonia, there were families, who didn’t have devices they could use for education purposes. But every child has a right for education. So at first there were companies and private persons who donated their computers and we were coordinating the process, that the donations went to the right families. The need increased and soon we started to make cooperation with the municipalities and the Ministry of Education and Research.
